Description
The touching series symbolises the feeling of comfort. You touch the soft (ceramic) comforting pillow to the feeling of your emotion. With these pillows Lucie looks for contradiction and she shows it in colour and structure.
This work was created by Lucie in the period between 2007 and now. She uses ceramic for the pillows. Measurements: 26x26 cm. The pillows are ready made to decorate your room.

Lucie is inspired by the forms nature presents, but emotions and feelings are also inspiring for her work.
Especially what she sees and feels emerges in a common visual. Besides that, order, rhythm and repetitious form are turning a calm image. The balance and tension are giving it a place of their own and an ending.
Lucie is an autodidact. She started working with self hardening clay, she got interested in ceramics. The creating and modelling fascinates her. Lucie Berben started her own atelier in 2000. She started teaching ceramics and that inspires her a lot. In 2004 Lucie became a member of the foundation of Limburger ceramists.
