This work symbolises the safe feeling of having your own space, and everyone feels and experiences this in his or hers own way.
Collin created this work in 2006 . He used mixed media such as acrylics, spray, and ink. This painting is ready made to hang up on a wall. The iguana is not included.

Artist: Collin van der Sluijs
Collins work is a reaction to the everyday life, the information- society, positive and negative experiences in life translated in a narrative way. Collin is inspired by friends, family, city, silence, love, anger, misunderstanding, animals, old toys, human behaviour in public spaces, a cat and music. His work is a collaboration of colour, techniques and styles visualizing the contrasts in society.
Collin graduated at St. Lucas in Boxtel (NL) and the art-academy St. Joost in Breda. After running an open minded gallery ‘’Punct’’ for young upcoming artists in Tilburg he moved to Maastricht and started a gallery for contemporary art in the city-centre, ‘Galerie Groen Licht’. Currently he is working as a gallery-owner, illustrator and painter.
